May 2010 | Maeve was studying in Germany when she found out that her granny had passed away. Returning to the house for the funeral, there was a feeling that something had changed. There was a coldness in the house. It was now a shell. She decided to base her project on the new surreal world that had been created with the passing of its former inhabitant. Since the funeral, to secure the house against possible break-ins, the family have had to set up lights and radios to switch on and off,  imitating life in the house with the curtains closed. Maeve tried to capture this in her photography. The inclusion of phrases that her granny used to say, she has endeavoured to occupy the photos.
